The Ship is an independently run family business & we aim to ensure that during your time with us you are able to relax & enjoy all that we have to offer. For those chilly winter nights to keep you warm and cosy we have three log burning fires and for the summer an inviting beer garden welcomes you.
All our food is locally sourced, and freshly prepared to order, therefore please don't expect it to appear ‘immediately’. At busy times some things may take a little longer - we shall always endeavour to serve you as courteously and speedily as possible.
We sincerely hope that whether you are with family, friends or loved ones that you will enjoy the Ship and make it a special place to which you will return time and time again.

About Us
History - The Ship is of 17th Century origin. Main part of building is of 2 storeys timber-framed, with a central entrance and hipped old tile roof; single bay extension to east making a front of 4 bays with applied timber-framing across whole front. Two canted bay windows and 2 casements to ground floor, all modern, 4 modern casements to first floor. Various rear outshots and extensions including a wing of 2 storeys probably of 18th Century date.
